The Curlers woman revealed private rituals of beautification to the public. I wore this outfit for the duration of the weekend for nine consecutive weekends in the late summer to fall. In the piece, I attended numerous art openings and events as well as doing my regular grocery shopping, errands, hanging out with friends, etc. The curler woman had some costume and character development over the weeks, she read romance novels, crocheted and smoked.
