How I have celebrated the Commitment
to My Creative Self:
1) 9/18/05: I took the
day off from work, slept in my studio and picked up
a friend from the airport while wearing the wedding
dress.
2) 9/18/06: Dinner Train:
watch video made by Ryan Crase
3) 9/18/07: I found the
above chapel on route 2 in Monroe, WA and fell in love
with it. I went back with Ryan and we took a bunch of
photo's, then Sam Trout helped me create a new business
card commemorating my 3rd Anniversary. On the actual
day, I invited a group of friends to have dinner with
me at a nearby restaurant- I wore the dress.
4) 9/18/08: My workplace
decided to have the 'summer party' on my 4th anniversary
(!). It consisted of taking 2 stretch limousines to
the Puyallup Fair. I couldn't have been happier and
I brought my dress with me (see below image). I also
had a ring engraved wtih September 18, 2004 and on 9/15/08
I submitted proposals to the King County Site Specific
Program.

5) 9/18/09: I worked a half day then
went to my studio and created a new self portrait that
fits into a series referencing things that make me self-conscious.
I bought and started a new sketchbook. My friend Cat
Dogg treated me to Teatro Zin Zanni and took the below
photograph after the show:
I wore this white dress instead of the wedding dress
(a possible new tradition).On 9/5/09, I completed the
piece titled, OLDSKL TXTN.
I consider that piece to be my artistic accomplishment
for this anniversary.
